How to Pray for the JESUS film
Pray for the logistics and technical details
“For You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory” (Psalm 32:7, NLT).
-
Pray for the first showings, that they will reach a wide audience of both Christians and non-Christians.
-
Pray that discrepancies in lip synchronization will not be distracting to viewers.
-
Pray for protection of the film and the equipment being used, especially in damp, jungle conditions.
Pray for those viewing the film
“We are telling you about what we ourselves have actually seen and heard, so that you may have fellowship with us” (1 John 1:3, NLT).
-
Pray that people will be able to see and hear the film clearly.
-
Pray that viewers will realize that they are viewing a historically accurate portrayal of Jesus Christ as recorded in Scripture.
-
Pray that viewers accept the truth of the film despite cultural differences between their lives and what is portrayed in the film.
-
Pray that viewers will not attribute the film technology to magic and their understanding of the spirit-world.
-
Pray that people will stay for the entirety of the film, including the invitation at the end.
Pray for those showing the film
“The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever” (Psalm 121:8, NLT).
Pray for the impact of the showing
“Peter’s words convicted them deeply, and they said to him and to the other apostles, 'Brothers, what should we do?' Peter replied, 'Each of you must turn from your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins'" (Acts 2:37-38a, NLT).
“The good soil represents the hearts of those who truly accept God’s message and produce a huge harvest” (Matthew 13:23, NLT).
